Prince and Prince Parade PhotographYou Community Centre Needs You PhotographLarge Hall PhotographKitchen PhotographA Right Royal Occasion!  The Community Centre was the proud sponsor of the Carnival Queen competition for the Abbots Langley Carnival in 2017.  We renamed this year's competition The Prince and Princess of the Parade.  The competition was opened up to younger children, and all those attending school or living in the Parish of Abbots Langley were eligible for entry.  This year's lucky winners were William and Summer, who brought some lovely sunny weather with them!  The children, each wearing a sparkling crown, rode in a horse-drawn carriage in the Carnival parade around the streets of Abbots Langley, waving to the admiring crowds.  The pretty white and spotted ponies were adorned with purple and orange ribbons to match the Community Centre's colours.  You can view further highlights from the competition on our Facebook page @AbbotsLangleyCommunityCentre.  We hope to be able to support the competition again next year.

Your Community Centre Needs You!  Volunteers are need by Abbots Langley Community Centre!  Can you help?  Did you know that Abbots Langley Community Centre is a registered charity and run by a team of volunteers?  The Centre is currently looking for people to fill important volunteer roles.  We are now seeking volunteers to help run a social and fitness group for older people.  People are needed to help organise or support weekly social or fitness sessions at the Centre.  Various levels of involvement are possible.  If this sounds like it might be of interest to you, and you would like to find out, without obligation, what might be involved, then please click the CONTACT US tab at the top of this page, and send us a message via the Contact Form. Abbots Langley Community Centre offers a fantastic venue and facilities to the local community.  These include a large hall, committee room, refreshment area and kitchen.  There is also ample local free parking for visitors.  The Centre is home to a number of clubs for young people, older people, young families, and people with learning disabilities.  It is the venue for variety of activities, which include keep fit, sport, music, dancing, and early years’ education.

Abbots Langley Community Centre has played host to numerous events over the years: Jigfest, an exhibition of 100s of completed jigsaws; the Tough Ten race, which meets every October, with the Centre accommodating the facilities for racers and its prize-giving ceremony; the Gardening Society Autumn Show, with the Centre housing all the fantastic entries for this annual event; rehearsals and performances by the Abbots Langley Orchestra, and the venue for Abbots Langley Winter Acoustic Concerts.   

Abbots Langley Community Centre is the perfect venue to hire for children’s parties, family gatherings, indoor sports events, committee meetings, training sessions, workshops, exhibitions, or fund-raising events.
